Hearing loss is the fastest growing, and one of the most common, chronic conditions facing Canadians today. While, of course, there are medical causes of hearing loss but age-related and noise-induced hearing loss are the two most common.
You don’t need a doctor referral to visit our office for a hearing test.
If there is any suspicion that a medical issue my be at hand, you will be recommended to see your doctor and we will provide your doctor with a recommendation for a referral to an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist.
In most cases, however, hearing loss is not a medically treatable issue. And, hearing aids will be your only solution.
Though the hearing industry typically addresses hearing loss as a medical issue, the fact is that hearing loss is very common and is usually no more a medical issue than is vision loss.
A Hearing Instrument Practitioner or Audiologist are the only professionals qualified and authorized to dispense and fit hearing aids in the province of BC.
